A: You must be a minimum of 19 years old to legally bartend in Arizona

Q: How often do bartending classes start?

A: Our weekday bartending classes begin each Monday. Weekend classes begin each Saturday. We offer both a daytime and evening class during the week.

Q: Is there a test that I must pass prior to receiving my certificate?

A: Upon completion of the bartending course students must complete a written as well as practical examination. The practical exam is hands on involving making several drinks that the students have learned in class in a prescribed period of time. 

Q: How long do the bartending classes last?

A: Our bartending course is designed to be completed in only 2 weeks. 

Q: Is real alcohol used during classes?

A: No! Alcohol is NOT used during the bartending training. Instead, colored water is substituted in order to simulate the actual drink colors and foam fruit is used to simulate various garnishes.

Q: What do I have to bring with me to class and is there a dress code?

A: You really only need to bring with you a positive attitude and a desire to learn and have fun. Your tuition includes a comprehensive bartending manual which is followed in class. We do not have a specific dress code, however, we request that you wear comfortable appropriate casual clothing.

Q: I recently retired and would like to earn some part-time income. Can bartending be a good fit for older workers?

A: Many people of all ages find that earning a bartending certificate can open their options to earning full or part-time income. Our classes have a mix of all age ranges and nationalities.
