Meet Our Instructors

Daniel is originally from Bulgaria - a small country in Southeastern Europe. He graduated college in Berlin Germany and has lived in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He started bartending in college where he fell in love with the mystery of the different flavors and aromas of the endless variety of alcohols. In Europe, he worked at high end restaurants, night clubs, and five-star hotels.

In 1999 he moved to San Francisco where he became head bartender with Ritz Carlton. In 2002 he moved to Sacramento where he worked at two high-end restaurants - “Chateau – by a shot of Class” and “Hawks” in Granite Bay as well as managed a boutique bar – “Speak Easy” in Roseville, CA.

Daniel started teaching bartending in 2003 and became a bartending instructor with ABC Bartending Schools. Daniel has more than 35+ years of professional bartending experience and more than 20+ years as an instructor. He enjoys interacting with the students and imparting his hands-on experience to each student. His goal is to share all the experience he has with his students to get them to the point where they feel confident and comfortable behind the bar, look and act professional and have all the necessary skills to excel in a bartending job.

Besides the regular training classes, Daniel teaches classes in advanced mixology (history of the alcohols, layered drinks, creative garnishing, working flair), bar management and mobile bartending service as well.
